Tom Loki (b. 1974, the Netherlands) works where presence unsettles the surface. His images are not constructed. They are permitted under fixed conditions.Drawing from two decades in the psychological field, he removed narrative from the encounter. What remains is the work.His studio, wherever it is, functions as a pressure chamber. The room is weather. The body does not complete its usual patterns.Nothing is corrected. Nothing is resolved.The work circulates quietly.
